Today Hubby asked if I wanted to get a CD player put into the ol' minivan. I said yeah, but not right now. After all who wants to hear Wheels on the Bus on CD. For now I will put my portable (since I haven't quite gone back to the gym) in the van....VAN. He admitted also that he does like our minivan. I do to, as I said, it is an adjustment. Perhaps we can christen it the drunk shuttle bus on Wednesday for Frogfest 31? I am hungry, wishing I had indeed joined in for Red Lobster.
The homestead is in shambles. After helping Mom on Monday, lounging on Tuesday, van purchasing on Wednesday, it is now Thursday (bordering on Friday) and next to nothing has been done in my home. Still have a pile of stuff from the car emptying sitting by the front door. Yes, I should have sorted trash/unneeded things and keepers at the time, but hell I was sweating my ass off trying to get it emptied out to "go look". I knew better. I was buying.
I purchased some of my YoungOne's school supplies today. For your knowledge, Target has a 16 pack of crayons for 20 cents. 20 cents? Give them away. I should have picked some up for the Salvation Army school drive now that I think about it. Perhaps I will go back this weekend, as I do love TARGET. Must have been all those years of it being the happiest thing in walking distance huh Froggie? That and Fashion Find & Homers from escaping distance at my house. Oh to be young & dumb again. NEVER!!!!! Honest. Parenthood may have its stresses, but I don't ever want to relive my "youth". End of story.
Another parenting relization, I hid away an advance purchase back prior to Easter. Recently saw said item at a store for sale, and then recalled "Hmm, I think I bought some of those, where the hell did I put them." To stave off your curiousity, they are Nestle Quik Milkshake makers. I had thought they'd be cool from the Easter bunny. Indeed, they would have been. Now they will be a cool, Wow it's Friday too bad we are out of ice cream surprise. I think I will put them up, somewhere in my view, until I go buy ice cream for my kiddies.
WOW, super long post huh? I spent this evening looking for a stupid cowboy hat of YoungOne's. My goofy sister in law,(the one I love to bag on, which I do like, well most of the time.) She takes the boys to the rodeo in one of the podunk towns between here & there and last year she bought them both hats, I couldn't find his. Well I did. But it took all night. And now here I am blogging as a reward. Ok, as another excuse not to do anything else.
I love my house at night. Peace & quiet. Tranquil. Perfect if it were clean. So I shall go do some dishes at least!
